When it’s a downday in Val Thorens, France it really is a downday. VT’s location high above the treeline means when the light is flat, the snowfall is heavy or the wind is howling, you’d better find something else to do. Cartel rider Pako Benguerel (who has been in Val Thorens for the last week for the Early Camp event) and his buddy Javi took to the streets for some urban pow riding. With snow well over waist deep in places they enjoyed some epic freeride conditions and the odd rail or two only seconds from the shops… now that’s convenience! In the French Alps at least things are looking good for the season ahead.
