Favorite Five Fridays: McRae Williams’ Favorite Vacation Destinations

Oct 7, 2011

Every Friday we ask a member of the Amplid Cartel team to tell us about five of their favorites. From five must have tricks you need in your repertoire to the five albums that are rocking their headphones every time they destroy the park. Weekly we’re bringing you closer to the Amplid Cartel.

This week Utah’s favorite and perhaps only triple corker… sorry rodeo-er McRae Williams runs through his favorite vacation spots.

Hawaii – If you were to ask anyone where the best place in the world for a vacation is, chances are they would say Hawaii. With gorgeous women in bikinis, amazing surfing, beautiful weather, and volcanoes, how could you go wrong? My favorite Island would definitely have to be Maui.

Las Vegas – What happens in Vegas stay in Vegas! I am beginning to interpret this saying as more of a fact than a rule. This is because no one can ever really remember what happened anyway! I can’t get over the lights either. It just seems so surreal.

Barcelona – My favorite city in the world! One of the best things about Barcelona is the vibe and atmosphere the people create. Everyone is always so friendly and helpful. They are constantly partying and having a good time! Barcelona is a beautiful city with some of the most magnificent architecture on the planet. And to top everything off you have the beautiful Mediterranean right at the city’s doorstep!

Whistler – If you are looking to take a ski vacation I can’t think of a better place than Whistler. It is a nice cozy little ski town, but don’t let that fool you. The nightlife can get pretty wild too! From massive double stage cliffs to perfect 70 foot kickers, Whistler has it all! And it’s just about as much fun in the summer time shredding on the glacier!

Joe’s Valley – If you like rock climbing, you will love Joe’s Valley! Being the world class bouldering destination that it is, don’t be surprised if you run into Chris Sharma or Jason Kehl somewhere along the river. Besides, nothing beats cooking a delicious meal over the fire while drinking some beers with your friends after a long day of shredding your fingertips! No matter what it takes, buy yourself some climbing shoes and get your ass to southern Utah, or at least get on some rock near you. Your life will never be the same!
