WALLISCH 2nd at the EUROPEAN FREESKI OPEN

The slopestyle course in Laax, Switzerland has officially been slayed. Eleven women and 48 men had to battle wind, icy conditions, variable light and the rest of the field.

A.R.C rider Tom Wallisch from Salt Lake City moved into the final heat after winning the semifinal. In the final heat Tom impressed both the judges and the crowd with a pimp dish cooked of a hot switch 270 to pretzel 450, right 900, rodeo 900 and spiced with a switch 1080.

Only Henrik Harlaut from Sweden could beat Tom’s run, pushing Wallisch back to 2nd place. “I am superstoked on this result, Henrik had an awesome run and deserves the victory!” said Tom.

“I wish though there would have been more rails and boxes though. I brought a full bag of pretzl stuff, but couldn’t really unpack it with one small box only!”.

Tom has been riding in Amplid’s RnD park at Heise’s and up at the A.R.C. home resort at Spitzingsee the days before, to warm up for the Europea Open. “I had a great time in Bavaria, hanging out Teddy, Benny and other team mates and eating tons of cake – which seems to be a tradition there! Good prep for the upcoming comps!”

The A.R.C. team member will fly to Scandinavia for the Sweet Rumble in Trysil (NOR) and the Jon Olson Invitational in Are (SWE) right after Laax.
