Kitzbuhel has opened for weekend skiing one month earlier than expected following the recent snowfalls. Cervinia in Italy, Tignes in France and Gstaad and Les Diablerets in Switzerland are all closed due to high winds affecting lift operation on Monday. The lifts at Engelberg in Switzerland are closed until 23rd November for maintenance. Eleven resorts across USA are scheduled to open this week including Solitude, Heavenly and Crest Butte. Following a week of snow Kitzbuhel (25/130cm) opened its lifts on the 10th November a month ahead of schedule. The lifts will reopen again at the weekend. Both Glacier 3000 at Gstaad/Les Diablerets (0/44cm) and Saas Fee (2/95cm) are closed on Monday due to high winds. Engelberg (0/40cm) is closed until the 23rd November for maintenance work. Snow is expected to fall at Breckenridge on Monday which will freshen up the man made conditions.
