Amplid's graphics guru, Michi Hanauer, and his wife Bianca made the most of the Christmas break to take a dream splitboard trip in Romania's Carpathian Mountains. Fresh tracks by day and plenty of Sliwowitz at night, Romania looks like it's well worth a visit.
Between the 17th and 19th of February join the Amplid Research Cartel at the Hochkeil ski area in Salzburgerland for the Livingroom Banked Slalom presented by Amplid. So tune-up your board and get yourself registered to race down the Hochkeil's twisting and turning course.
As the winter season gets underway more and more lines become rideable in AK, Amplid's Alaskan splitboard ambassador, Ben Reynolds, and fellow riders Orin and Uriah Rolando took the opportunity, on a clear day with stable conditions, to ride Kick Step, a well-known peak in the Chugach Range.
This week the temperature dropped to below freezing in the Bavarian Alps and the heavens opened leaving a blanket of snow for Amplid's ultra-eager office team to poach. Equipped with Facelifts, Ego Trip Evolutions, Milligrams and Morning Splits the team hiked up to the Summit of Spitzingsee's Rosskopf for a quick fix of pow riding.
