For some brands, building a team means going on a shopping spree and maxing-out the company credit card with fat wages and monster film and travel budgets. At Amplid we try and bring young and promising talent through the ranks of the Ambush Team and use our retailers, team riders and network of brand ambassadors to find fresh talent. This year Amplid has added the Amplid Cartel National Team which fits between the Intergallactic Cartel International team, the home of our superstar riders, and our grass-roots team the Amplid Ambush Team. The Cartel National Team exists to recognise the talent and potential of athletes who are about to blow-up on the scene in a big way. We'll be running an in-depth interview with snowboarder Markus Haka in the next couple of weeks, but for now, Amplid is very proud to introduce you to Kevin, Alex, Freddy and Tanner, the skiers who make-up the Amplid National Team. And remember, when you see these guys in two years time signing multi-million dollar contracts for the likes of Armada and Volkl, that you saw them here first. Kevin Salonius | Finland | Serena Ski - Kevin films with up -and-coming film crew 22 productions. He's a slopestyle ripper and one of the first people to nail nose butter double cork 12s. Last winter Kevin was a semi-finalist in the prestigious SuperUnknown video contest, his edit showcased his versatility in the park and out on the streets... what else did you expect? He's from Finland!
Alex Neurohr | Switzerland | Wallis - For the last year Alex has been part of the Amplid Ambush team. After being shaken-up by Alex's outstanding section in Swiss production company Awone Films' latest release Je Vais Au Reve, Amplid had no option but to bring Alex onto this new team. When he's not filming in the backcountry, Alex can be found ripping the terrain park or competing in the FWT Qualifier events where he's building a name for himself by bringing freestyle flavour to gnarly lines.
Tanner Boudreau | USA | Park City - Last year Tanner competed in the Amplid Ambush Academy and blew away the competition with his outrageous skills and unstoppable motivation to film. Although Tanner is studying he still finds plenty of time to ride and party with his homies in the infamous Hood Crew and he regularly scoops wild shots in the Park City terrain parks, the Wasatch backcountry and the streets of SLC.
Fredrik Bergan | NOR | Oslo - Fredrik is the style master. Smooth spins and a serious helping of afterbang are Fredrik's signatures. We brought Fredrik onto the team because of his effortless and enviable riding style and the dedication he shows to capturing his riding in HD with his crew Skinanigans, who produce some of the finest edits on the internet.
If you're wondering what skis the guys are riding. Tanner, Kevin and Fredrik are mixing it up between the Antidogmas and the Syntax while Alex is using the Lexington on deep days, the Hill Bill for Freeride World Tour qualifier events and Antidogmas in the park.
