Joining the Amplid Ambush Academy* is your chance to prove you’ve got the riding skills, style and media know-how needed to hold down a spot on the Amplid team roster. Amplid in partnership with GoPro action sports cameras is opening the Academy over the 2012/13 season to a very limited 20 skiers and 20 snowboarders.
In early November the Amplid Research Cartel will work together to choose 40 promising shredders from the many applications. During the winter season these selected Academy members will go head-to-head in a series of challenges set by the Amplid Research Cartel. These challenges will be just like the daily demands on a modern pro rider, from filming and editing a smooth park lap movie to milking a backcountry spot for photos.
Not only will the winners of each challenge get their hands on some serious swag provided by Amplid, but at the end, the riders who have impressed the Amplid Research Cartel the most over the course of the season might find themselves on the Ambush or even Cartel team. The Academy is not just about the killer prizes; as an Academy member you’ll get the chance to join group mentoring web chats with Amplid’s team riders where you can get tips on tricks or just find-out what it’s like to be a pro from those living it.
In addition to prizes, from the moment you are accepted onto the Amplid Ambush Academy you will receive a GoPro Hero2 camera provided by the Academy’s generous partner GoPro, find-out more about the Hero2 at www.gopro.com. Academy members will be entitled to proform prices on Amplid gear here at Amplid.com. We’ll also send you an Amplid soft goods pack with a limited edition AAA hoodie to help you represent Amplid at your local hill and you’ll receive a handful of discount cards so you can hook-up your friends and family like a boss!

In addition to filling-in your details you will need to write a short paragraph about why you want to join the Academy. In this tell us why you want to be a pro, what you love about shredding, about the crew you ride with and why you think the Academy would be a great opportunity for you. To take part in the Amplid Ambush Academy you will need to have access to editing software and a friend or family member who can film.
The last date for applications to the Academy for the 2012/13 winter season is Friday 16th November 2012. Any applications received after this date will be considered for the 2013/14 winter.
