Amplid is proud to host The Summer Rail Challenge 2016 by Kevin Salonius. Join-in with the second installment of this almost legendary backyard ski contest and you'll soon forget that summer without snow sucks. This year there are prizes from Amplid, Saga, Spy Optic, Tall-T-Productions and mSnow.
This winter Kevin Salonius and Stephan Sutton bought themselves a winch and set themselves the task of finding and shooting new, un-discovered spots in Helsinki, a town that attracts more than its fair share of urban skiers and snowboarders. The mission is going to plan.

In his rookie season as professional skier, Kevin Salonius has spent the last five months travelling throughout Europe discovering the sports many disciplines. In April Kevin travelled to Grandvilira in Andorra to hang-out with team riders Luka Melloni, Pako Benguerel and Noah Albaladejo and film with future movie magnet Borja Azurmendi. Here's a brief trip report.
Last week Julien Lange and Kevin Salonius were hanging-out with Swiss Cartel rider Alex Neurohr and filming for a video series in his home resort Vercorin. While they were there, the crew took a day off filming backcountry jumps to join Ambush rider Jeremy Rudaz for the Gangs of Thyon contest.

This spring, like the last, Les Arcs in France will become the epicenter of freeskiing for one week as the world's best skiers descend on the resort for the B&E Invitational. One of the privileges of working at Amplid is seeing team riders join the brand and really flourish on Amplid products. 12 months ago Finnish freeskier Kevin Salonius joined Amplid. Kevin brought insane skiing and movie production skills, and a ton of enthusiasm to the brand and we're stoked to announce that he will be joining the Cartel Intl team.

The Superunknown finals are scheduled for this week in Summit resort, Snoqualmie, Washington State. Cartel Nationals rider Kevin Salonius is currently mid-flight on his way to compete for the title of Superunknown champion 2014.

Helsinki Tour Guide

"And to the left you can see a nice triple kink handrail, complete with gnary closeout"... this is probably what the urban Tour, that team rider Kevin Salonius gave to the Armada team, sounded like. Kevin showed the guys around the city and revealed his best spots.

Finnish Season Begins

Over the next couple of weeks ski resorts in the Northern Hemisphere will open in their hundreds. As they do our Team riders gradually stir into action with updates. New team signing Kevin Salonius shared a snap from opening day at his local hill.
Last night, while the rest of Europe was enjoying an extra hour of sleep, Amplid's team riders were out filming for a new Amplid commercial which will go live on Youtube in November.
