The Amplid demo tour rolled into the Stubai valley last weekend. The conditions at Stubai above 2600m are arguably the best in alps right now, so the trip was well worth the effort. Setting up the tent in the gusty conditions kept the visiting skiers entertained as Amplid's demo crew gathered unused furniture from around the Eisgrat Bergstation to help tie-down the tent.
During the day it was rare to see a pair of Rockwells or Ego Trip Evolutions at the tent; as soon as these skis were rested up against the side of the tent, they were out again. And the Hill Bills proved popular too, skiers were impressed that a 112mm waist ski could work so well out of powder. On the snowboard side, the firm piste conditions made the HiDef, UNW8 and Paradigma very popular choices.
Amplid would like to thank Ambush team riders Andi Nitsche and Fex Althammer for their valuable help during the weekend. Many testers will testify to this pair's incredible knowledge of Amplid's products! Amplid would also like to thank Alexandra, Stefan and the rest of the crew at Stubaier Gletscher, we're very grateful for your assistance with running the event and we are already looking forward to our next visit. If you are looking to test an Amplid shred in the coming weeks, keep your eyes peeled on the Amplid blog and Facebook page for news about future demo events.
