The Carbon Split is the first release of Amplid's hyper limited LAB series; snowboards and skis designed with the most progressive materials and thinking and manufactured in quantities of less than 30. The Carbon Split utilises a new experimental core technology to reduce weight and topsheet free carbon construction which gives the board a unique stealth aesthetic. Amplid's founder and owner Peter Bauer who has 25 years of snowboard R&D experience said:
“Experimenting is always exciting; you can’t really predict the outcome. We really didn’t expect to reach such a new weight-benchmark. Cutting weight is easy, losing grams and keeping durability is really tough. Our R&D team feels like alchemists who have discovered the perfect splitboard formula - awesome!!!”
