US Amplid ambassador Buell Steelman has spent a lot of time on his Milligram over the past two winters touring in California's Eastern Sierra range. Splitboard.com reached-out to Buell and asked him to share his experiences of Amplid's flagship splitboard. Buell also gathered the opinions of a handful of fellow riders and friends who have also been impressed by the Milligram's prowess.
Last month, Amplid homies Buell Steelman and Matt Strouder took advantage of the remaining snowpack on Mt Jefferson, Oregon's second highest peak, surfing perfect early summer corn on their Milligram splitboards. From the pictures, we reckon this mission was well worth the early start!
Snow conditions in California this winter have been incredible. Ambassador Buell Steelman and his touring buddies have been making the most of the great snow, scoping and bagging incredible lines all the way along the Eastern Sierras, from Bridgeport to Lone Pine.
In the past few years California has been given the cold shoulder by the snow gods. This year the snow is back and with 20ft of snow in January alone, conditions are all time! Amplid ambassadors Buell Steelman and Henning Schwalbe have been making the most of the spectacular conditions on their splitboards.
