NISEKO STYLE

Do like Japow? Japow as in "tons of fresh waist-deep snow"? Then you will like Jonel Fricke's latest project NISEKO STYLE - a short film project consisting of snowboard footage of Jonel Fricke and a musical composition & sound design by Addi Stefansson. The goal of this project is to display a combination of the footage and sound in the best possible way.
These days German snowboarder Jonel Fricke spends most of his days hunting down powder and creative lines in the backcountry of the mountains that surround Innsbruck. By the looks of this short edit from the Bispingen Snow Dome, located south of Hamburg, Jonel's rail skills are still as sharp as ever!
From the 12th of June until the 31st August the Bispingen Snow Dome, located between Hanover and Hamburg, is hosting a summer long park session. Pleasure Mag caught-up with Amplid Ambush rider Jonel Fricke to learn more about the session and about how Jonel cut his teeth riding indoor snow.
Grass Roots events are sooo hot right now... but seriously, what's not to like about hanging-out with friends and snowboarding at the same time. Keep Snowboarding 2015 took place last week and brought together the Vorarlberg snowboard scene in Damuels. Amplid's Philip Toplitsch and Jonel Fricke took-part.
It was the second week of December and four weeks of warm, sunny weather had taken their toll on the many ski resorts of the Alps. In a desparate, last-ditch attempt to secure photos for the 15/16 catalogue, Amplid's team manager invited a handful of riders to Pitztal in Austria for a weekend photoshoot.
If like me you're looking at this photo and wondering how Ambush rider Jonel Fricke managed to air a stalefish over the top of Mt. Fuji, It's an optical illusion. Actually he's just taken a bucket-load of airtime on his Pillow Talk into a rock infested landing... so no biggie.
