Based on the legendary Infrablack, the Infraglass retains its predecessors awesome big-mountain capabilities but loses a little of its savagery. With its gargantuan 126mm width and intimidating 29m sidecut, the Infraglass is the ski of choice for taking care of big-mountain business.
The Infraglass’ triaxial fiberglass laminates balance the need for both stability at speed and forgiveness. AntiphaseTM, an exciting new damping technology developed in-house at Amplid, keeps tip-chatter and vibrations in check so that fast descents remain under control. Prominent tip-rocker and tail-rise help the ski to pivot in deep snow, but don’t deplete the Infraglass’ ability to stomp big landings.
From AK to Chamonix, when the peaks get taller, the snowpack deeper and the terrain more raucous, it’s time to unleash these big guns.
Amplid’s Camrock profile blends underfoot camber with rocker tips. A length of camber under the boot provides grip and reverse camber in the tips increases playfulness and deep snow performance. This ski-specific camber manifests itself in various forms in Amplid’s skis; skis intended for deep snow have a smaller camber area and increased rocker to improve floatation and fluidity.
This superlight wood core is the industry standard for lighteweight, durable and versatile performance. We’ve tweaked this core so many times over the years there’s nothing left to improve.
Running along the topsheet in a V-configuration from the contact points towards the bindings, these narrow bands of Basalt fabric dampen unwanted vibrations, reducing rider fatigue and keeping you edge engaged with the snow for improved control. Get the Rolls Royce feeling!
Amplid uses Triaxial glass in the majority of its skis for greater torsional rigidity, which in layman’s terms means more grip and response.
Max effective edge and square centimeters for floatation in the minimum board or ski length. Unsinkable, but nimble pow shreds, sawn-off jib decks with huge pop and insane edge-hold or the ultimate all-mountain ski shape recipe.
Ultra wide, low rising tips that exist purely to create lift in powder without sucking-up speed. They add a surfy feel to skis and snowboards.
Amplid’s ultra-high density sintered base goes like shit-off-a-shovel in all snow conditions. It is extremely hard and therefore more resistant to damage.
An advanced composite damping technology, developed in house at Amplid, which reduces unwanted vibrations for a smoother more controlled ride.
