Snow Surf Review: The Singular

This is the big change at Amplid for the 2022/2023 season, all the boards of the Playful All Mountain range (Paradigma, Creamer, Lovelife, Stereo, Ticket, Ticket Twin, GoGo) are disappearing to make room for the Singular project: 2 unisex boards, this Singular and its cousin Singular Twin, which only depend on the rider's size and level.

Designed as a single board (aka "quiver killer") intended to succeed (how dare "replace"?) the Paradigma, this Singular is offered from 144 to 166, with honeycomb in the tip, the "Visco damp" which dampens vibrations, ultra technical fibres (glass and basalt), and a thicker "cut" construction in the tip. With a homogeneous flex, hardly stiff but which lets the tips express themselves, this board has a virile ollie and an impeccable switch mode (don't be misled visually by its tail, it's a directional twin centered).

Very versatile, it enters turns well, with that very pleasant feeling in the curve typical of all Amplid boards, boards "made to live on the edge". Pleasant and soft, it is an accessible board while being playful (even if the Singular Twin holds the upper hand), carving on all the radii, which lacks a little buoyancy for the big powder but can play on all the ranges in station, of the edge of track in sidehits mode to small freeride. For a wide audience of connoisseurs who want a versatile and never disappointing machine.
