Last weekend Amplid team riders Luka Melloni and Julien Vilmin represented Amplid at the Rail Trick Session in Fort Romeu in the Pyrenees. Here's the official event video edit.
Pre-season on Europe's glaciers can be unpredictable. You might be greated with epic storms and 100mph winds, or you could luck-out and have warm sunny weather and mild temperatures. Fortunately for the Amplid demo tour "Enjoy the Glacier" event at Les Deux Alpes was blessed with the latter. Hundreds of testers flocked to the event and many of them stepped on an Amplid deck for the first time.
Last week French Ambush team rider Julien Vilmin made the journey from his home in the Pyrenees to the Spanish city of Madrid for the Spanish leg of Volcom's Peanut Butter Rail Jam. 3rd place and 150 Euros probably made the trip worthwhile!
French Ambush team rider Julien Vilmin throws caution to the wind and jumps in at the deep end. You've heard of skating pools, well Julien and photographer Max Bouvier have gone one step further by sessioning this derelict indoor pool in Font Romeo, France.
You'll often hear top pros complaining about living out of their board bag. The life of travelling from mountain range to mountain range, across the globe with uncomfy hotel beds night after night. French Ambush rider Julien Vilmin is the opposite, he makes the most of Hotel visits!
Amplid's R&D work doesn't stop in the summer, it just goes higher. This summer we set French Ambush rider Julien Vilmin to work testing a top secret jib board so that the team could fine-tune the flex. Sometimes testing means just heading out and having fun.
JU – a.k.a. Julien Vilmin. Short headline, long time experience, as you can see. French ambush rider, on a Dopamine. Telling a skate park clearly when its season is. Location: Skate Park Font-Romeu, by night. Recently. Photo: Max B.
All it takes is a frontflip onto a box, a Dopamine, and a smooth style like french ambusher Julien Vilmin – and you will end up on top of the podium at the 2011 LLivia Snow Show !!! Congrats Julien, that is the way to start a season…
Little flick by french ambush rider Julien Vilmin and his beloved DOPAMINE.
OK, to all those lingo-ignorants out there: “Julien” is a man’s name. At least in France. Metrometro back or forth. In our case Julien Vilmin is a real man, with ugly hairy balls: Switch backside melon over the wall. Somewhere in the french summer. Metrometro.
Check out Ambush rider Julien Vilmin winning the “El Bambino 2011″ … nice edit !
EL BAMBINO 2O11 by MAZCOR (Snowpark Font-Romeu ) French ambush man Julien Vilmin ended up 1st in – what might sound misleading as a name for a contest – the EL BAMBINO snowboard contest. Nope, that is not a kindergarden party as it sounds. It was an adult jibfest ! Right on Julien !!!
