On Monday and Tuesday, Amplid's owner, Peter Bauer, and marketing guy Rich flew into the UK to visit some of the country's premium snowboard retailers and talk to them about the boards and Amplid's story. Within 48 hours the crew, which included Amplid UK's Andy Steel and the Ski Club of Great Britain's Tom (who is shooting a piece on Amplid), visited Bucks Boarding Centre in Milton Keynes, Big Dreams in Dorset and Snow & Rock's retail team at the Hemel Hempstead Snow Centre. While grabbing a burger in the Snow Centre bar between laps, we were also able to meet up with Steve and Jo, owners of the Shack in Canterbury, and two serious Amplid fans. Of course a pub lunch, a dinner in London and Peter's first snowboard experience in the UK were also objectives that can be ticked off the list too.
Below are a few photos from the trip. If you are in the market for a new snowboard and you want some professional advice on Amplid products, be sure to pop into one of these stores.
