Austrian Ambush team rider Fabian Sandholzer recently visited the Crystal Ground in Kleinwalsertal, Austria and filmed a little spot check video. This is how you’re meant to ride the park set-up and the Dopamine is the perfect board for it!
With neighbours like Lech, Zurs, St Anton and Montafon it’s unsurprising that the resort of Diedamskopf has remained a locals secret. Tucked away in Austria’s Vorarlberg, it’s only 50km from the famous lake side town of Bregenz, but with an hour’s drive to the base of the resort, only those that know how good Diedamskopf [...]

Method Shadow Puppet

Just to prove it’s a method and not a backscratcher or suitcase, Yannick filmed his shadow grabbing a tweaky Method air. More fool the dude sat in Yannick’s shadow’s landing.
Ever heard of Amplid Ambush team rider Ricky Bates? I’m guessing your answer is no… for now. This season Ricky has been filming with a mixed crew of skiers and snowboarders called the Idahomies (see what they did there). The whole crew has been sledding to usually inaccessible terrain and poaching some rad fresh lines [...]

JNorm Talking Shop

We posted this edit of Windells legend, Amplid Cartel team rider Justin Norman slaying the Windells set-up earlier in the year… of course if you haven’t seen it, go widescreen and get watching, Justin kills it. No, the reason for this blog post is an interview with Justin about his season so far, a recent [...]

Enter the Dragon… TV

Riding for DaKine obviously has its benefits… cosy gloves and more travel lugage than even Mariah Carey and her lecherous entourage could use are the first that spring to mind. Cartel Team rider JNorm recently experienced another benefit when DaKine sent him to the Billabong Attack event in Japan. During a day off Justin got [...]

A Crow Snowboarding

Most amazing video you’ve ever seen. A crow riding on a piece of plastic, down a rootop. And hiking back up, again and again. Good taste !

SUPERMAN DOESN’T EXIST

Superman backflips do though. Like this one from ambush rider Simon Guenther. Frozen in Damüls the other day, by Uta Gischas.
Austrian Ambush team manager Harald Juen recently got in touch with HQ to share a video of one of his recruits Fabian Sanholzer. Fabian’s got some serious urban rail skills, grapefruit sized balls and some of that so hot right now Minnesota style; but you probably got that much from the video. We will definitely [...]

WHAT A SEASON

That photo really gets it to the point: the season in the alps has been sick, and will be sick for another couple of months. Ambusher Simon Günther dropping a cliff up at Warth, Arlberg – spinning his HiDef like if there is no tomorrow. Right on, that’s the way it’s gotta be. Photo [...]
Check SNOWBOARD-REVIEW.com: “For the last 8 years Amplid has been creating some of the best snowboards on the market completely under the radar of the general public. Under the direction of co-owner and ex-Burton legend Peter Bauer, Amplid’s snowboards always feature a good mix of quality construction, innovative R&D and design experience. We caught-up with [...]
When a publication like Snowboard Mag honours your Method grabs with the “Method of the Day” title it’s a pretty good indicator that your style is on point. Cartel rider John Rodosky tweaked-out this monster method on his Creamer moments before destroying his body on a sketchy, moguled, bone shaker landing. It pays to scope [...]
When the UPS delivery guy dropped-by Name for Fame contest winner Jakob Pavli’s Austrian crib, Jakob was so stoked he had to get a photo then and there. Nevermind the -20 degree temperatures the Alps have been experiencing, Jakob risked hyperthermia in a T-Shirt and Boardies with only the horns of rock and a Blue [...]
Yep it’s true, the Amplid Name for Fame, the contest that has been kicking-up a storm of trick innovation and hand-in-mouth near death experiences, has drawn to a close. It took Amplid’s global Cartel team longer than we expected to pick two winners but after several pizza deliveries and more than one return trip to [...]
Cartel rider Stefan Falkeis’ balance of big kahunas and style is framed perfectly in this shot of a jagged boulder Miller Flip by photographer Michael Obex. It’s such a rad snap that it’s been plastered across Method Mag’s homepage for the last week as the coverted “Shot of the Week”. Congratulations Stefan!

Whip that Cream !

PoVs on the Creamer 166 from Nico Antony … that does indeed create jealousy.
What is the Amplid Green Light Project? And why is Amplid going down the eco route? The Amplid Green Light Project is an ongoing process where we are trying new ecologically responsible materials and techniques in our manufacturing. Every day greener and greener material solutions are being created and we want to make use of [...]
After some really heavy snowfalls, Parkdesigner Simon Abel and his crew did their best to reconstruct the set up for the first shooting of the season. ARC rider Benny Deeg and Markus Wilhelmi had a great day in the newly opened jib line in the Pleasure Diedamspark.

WHEN AARON GOES POW

There ain’t no virgin lip left. Little pillow drop in his backyard called “Jakobshorn” in Davos. Nice backyard. One must know that Aaron Berger actually is gardiner by profession, so when the flowers are covered he needs to get busy in a different way, as long as it’s outdoor.
Relaxed is not hypnotic powder self edit by austrian ARC rider Stefan Falkeis. In case you us to hang out in Ibiza’s stoner lounges, you might like the music as well :-) !

RnD Never Stops

Only after 100+ hours of actual rail riding an Amplid board gets sent off to production. Benny Deeg, grinding the 2012/13 Declaration with the nex Abuse Base Technology to death, well, trying to. Curious on our new gear? Then pass by at the ISPO, starting tomorrow … Photo: Sebi Madlener / Location: Diedamskopf
Amplid pumped millions of dollars into French Ambush rider Yannick Prebel’s latest film project POWrno from FRESH CREAM MOVIES. Forget the RED Epic or even the Canon 5D mkII, POWrno was shot exclusively on GoPro to give it an edgy “Blair Witch Project” POV kinda feel. Although we can’t quite work out where the millions [...]
If you’ve spent the summer at Windells at Hood before, you’ll know what part-time digger full-time ripper J-Norm is capable of on a snowboard. If you haven’t seen him ride, sit back, click full screen and watch the jib master destroy Windells. Oh and in-case you were wondering, Justin rides the Dopamine.
Too much snow to ride and film, too many downdays. Good enough to edit what has been filmed in the previous days … enjoy Aaron and friends in the latest RUKisode, shredding Davos / CH.
